Good experience with SIXT in Ajaccio. Quick check-in. Really enjoyed the EV I had (my hotel in Ajaccio had a charging point and the car enough range. Do check for charging points if you stay in more remote locations). Return was quick and easy (would be great if a sign for sixt was added at the junction to the car return area but I found it). Great value and trouble free experience. Would recommend

We are happy with the service we got at SIXT. When we picked our rental we asked for a extra child seat and got it for free. We were a little apprehensive when we got handed the keys to an all electric Skoda Enyag, because we had no experience driving one. SIXT explained their vision to make less of an impact on the island by improving their cars and since there is a good charging network. we decided to give it a go. They offered us to buy a E-Motum card with which you can charge unlimited for €72. Which is a good deal, except the fast charging network is not always where you want it to be and charging from 25% to 80% will take about 20-30 minutes. Normally you have a range of about 330 km, but driving on Corsica will take that down to about 200. We where driving in the mountains quite a lot and therefore we where forced to charge every 2nd day. Handing in the car was no problem, except you have to return it with the Hertz garage, which they did mention at pick up.

We enjoyed renting an all-electric automatic car here for a few days during our trip. We had no trouble at all reserving and picking up the car, but it wasn’t totally clear how to return the car. It would be really helpful if renters were given more detailed instructions about how to find the return garage. But otherwise, we had a great experience overall.
