We rented a car for our two weeks trip in Laos. The car was ready for us after landing at the airport and the man from SIXT who helped us was very kind, and his English was very good. We were happy with that. We had a 4x4 to hit the more difficult roads and we had a great and safe time with the car. At the day of departure it was easy to rent the car for a few hours more. All with all a very good experience. The deposit could take a maximum of 15 days but we had it back within a few hours!

After a long search we found a car for rent in Luang Prabang through the sixt company. The employees were amazing and helped us find the vehicle we were looking for at a fair price. The service was excellent and they spoke good English, they were available at all times, we received the vehicle clean with a full tank. We strongly recommend renting only from them❤️

The counter is inside the arrivals area, which can be confusing. We had to wait a few minutes for them to bring the car around to us but everyone was very friendly and helpful. If you’re driving anywhere outside Luang Prabang, do yourself a favor and get the truck/suv. Well worth it for dealing with the potholes and dirt roads. Phaydu was very helpful and even offered to drive us to the train station when the taxi counter was unoccupied. I’m wary of sixt but overall this was a decent experience.
